I would NOT recommend this restaurant to eat at in Algona. The so called "smoked" meat tastes like it is reheated up in a microwave, old and very dry. Definitely needs some new management or someone that is more customer service friendly as I'm not sure these "new" owners know how to run a business. Our sandwiches and sides were lukewarm/on the cold side so we mentioned something to our waitress she just apologized and never did anything more about it. The owner, I assuming, came out and asked us how everything was, we mentioned to him that everything was just lukewarm/on the cold side, he said "well it should be hot it was up to temperature." No sorry, no nothing and he just walked away. I know me and my family will definitely not be back to eat here as we had been in before and it was just okay so we wanted to try it again to see if it had improved. Guess we should have taken the hint when the parking lot was completely empty during supper time. Places like this where management is bad, service is bad and food is bad need to remember word of mouth travels faster than lightening. Good luck clearing up your not so good of reputation out there in the town of Algona and surrounding communities, because from what I have heard from MANY MANY people in town it's not a good reputation. Terrible service and food! Not even willing to deduct the very over done ribs and the very under done baked potato! Waited for 45 min. just to get simple appetizers and another 45 to get the food we didn't eat! Server needing reminding for even simple things like plates and drinks! Never again!
