The sanitation division is one of the divisions of the public works department that is operated by the city of Alice, Texas, which also operates police, fire, parks and recreation and administration, as well as community services and planning departments. The sanitation division is responsible for the collection of brush and garbage and its transportation to city's landfill. It also offers a range of recycling and emergency services. The public works department maintains street maintenance, landfill, water production and treatment, garage, airport and engineering divisions.
