I work as a Special Education teacher and took my students on a field trip. I had a wide variety of grade levels (2nd - 12th) and wide variety of ability levels (autistic - gifted). The reason that I mention this is because this field trip fit everyone's needs. I noticed that the older students were helping out the younger ones. I also noticed that this was great for students with autism and disabilities because they were able to work on their fine motor skills and receive sensory stimulation at the same time. The kids used hand eye coordination to play games that they've never played before. It was absolutely incredible. The students also loved the tour at the beginning and loved hearing about the history and the mechanics of the machines. We ordered pizza for lunch from the neighboring business and every part of the planning was so smooth and easy. Many kids said this was their "favorite field trip ever!" I will definitely go again in the future and have already recommended this place to several people.
