The Allegan County Road Commission is responsible for managing more than 1700 miles of roadways in over 20 townships in Allegan County in Michigan. Its services include snow removal, gravel road grading, roadway sign placement, repair and maintenance. The commission also manages nearly 60 miles of seasonal roads. The Allegan County Road Commission maintains an equipment fleet that includes heavy- and light-duty trucks, cars, graders, excavators, mowers and loaders. In addition, it operates more than three maintenance garages. The commission is responsible for the design, engineering and contract administration of roadway improvements. The Allegan County Road Commission employs more than 60 staff members.
