We had been to this restauran...

We had been to this restaurant many times and found it quite disappointing, so we decided to give it one more try. Of 6 steak entrees ordered 3 were grossly overcooked .
One "Flo's Fillet" was returned 4 times and sadly they could not make it medium well however hard they tried. On the 4th and final attempt, they took our cut up steak and microwaved it into a rubbery piece of leather, so we decided to give up on this steak and had it taken off the bill.
Our waitress was very neglectfull and didn't even acknowledge that there was any problem with our orders. Needless to say, we were not even offered anything but a bewildered apology form the manageress, who just happened to hide from us as we left the restaurant .
One observation that I did make was that on every occasion where we've had problems with our meals here, is that it's always been on a Sunday, leading us to the conclusion that maybe they have their good cooks working Fridays and Saturdays, and possibly having the less experienced or maybe trainee cooks working on Sundays.
Needless to say, we will not be frequenting this steakhouse ever again...heck they can't even cook a "Flo's Fillet" to medium well and they don't have any class to maybe even offer a free glass or wine or desert to atone for their imcompetency.
My advice is not to go here for a good steak, but if you must, please do not go on a Sunday

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR HEALTH

My wife and I went to dinner last night for the first time at the Longhorn Steak House in Allen Park, MI. It was pretty busy when we got there so the typical 5-10 min. wait was in order. No problem went to the bar, ordered a few beers, was pretty discusted when the bar keeps pants were below his bottom and his boxers were showing, even with a belt on. After eating a great appetizer that was served by a great waitress, we got our salads. Mine a ceaser and hers the strawberry greens. I noticed on my salad bowl rim there was some red dressing strange for a ceaser salad so when I truned my bowl my fingers got sticky. That when I looked under my bowl to find the whole thing was coverd in dressing still from the last customer. My wifes bowl also had tomateo seeds, and skin on it. The bowls look liked they had never been washed. The manager was a complete tool, and gave us some lame reason as to why this happened. Then apologized and took our $6.99 appetizer off our bill. Great deal we get hepitias A for a free appetizer. We turned back the rest of our salads and refused new ones. Our steaks finally arrived after almost an hour since we ordered them, bad cuts of meat, and not cooked to how we ordered them. I refused to pay for anything but our drinks, tax on them and a tip for the waitress that was great the whole time during this ordeal. I have yet to see if my charge card is charged for the whole meal or just our drinks. My advise is don't go here unless you want to end up in the hospital from some food born sickness.

  • Established in 1981Founded in Atlanta by George McKerrow, Jr., LongHorn Steakhouse began with one man's passion for perfect steak but very few guests to convince. Then a freak snowstorm hit Atlanta in 1982, stranding motorists and drawing them to one of the only hospitable places available - a restaurant then called LongHorn Steaks Restaurant & Saloon. Tales of expertly grilled steaks soon spread like wildfire, and the legend of LongHorn was born.Today, LongHorn welcomes diners to a modern, relaxing dining experience, with knowledgeable servers offering the finest fresh steaks, chicken and seafood expertly prepared as only LongHorn can.Beyond legendary steaks done right, LongHorn is also known for being a positive force in the community. Each day, the restaurant gathers unused, fresh food that wasn't served & donates it to local community food banks. LongHorn Steakhouse is proud to give back to the local community and help make a difference in the lives of others.
