Classic diner: breakfast and lunch and any time I between.

The mushroom omelet: good quantity of mushrooms and eggs and just a sprinkling of cheese. Even the hashbrowns were perfect.

But check out a menu item I haven't seen in 30-years: the lo-cal plate: I ordered it this time. A10-ounce burger patty cooked to order and a big scoop of small curd cottage cheese on the side with lettuce, cucumbers and a tomato slice. I scooped the CC on top of the patty and devoured. Delicious classic 70s dish.

They even have their own parking lot, although handicap access is not practical.

I had IHOP's pancakes after coming to Allen Cafe for a while, and WOW...Allen Cafe's pancakes BLEW them out of the water. I won't eat breakfast anywhere else in Allen. The local vibe is great. The food is delicious. The staff is friendly. My only complaint would be the lack of fruit on the menu, but it doesn't keep me away! I am a weekly patron. Closest thing to a "diner" that you can find around town.

Try the Texas breakfast. The pancakes are delicious! Best I've ever had!
