Provided by YPmobileDr. Lavery is brilliant. Although his pragmatism might seem "cold" to some other reviewers, I highly respect it! His medical assistants are warm, patient, and kind. Scheduling "in office" visits may be difficult due to just how busy the office might be due to demand, but they are VERY QUICK with communicating, directing, and answering questions via the patient portal. I am VERY impressed.

Provided by YPmobileDr. Lavery is the kind of Dr. that won't back down from a challenge. He was my rheumatologist for several years until 1. Insurance changed (growl) and 2. He had front office staff/billing issues- from what I've heard they are gone, unfortunately the good with the bad. But Dr. Lavery is Great! Hope he's back on my Dr. list, soon!

Provided by Doctor.comHe is highly intelligent and is very skilled and explains diagnosis and treatment plans. Dr. Lavery goes over and beyond any expectations of what a patient should expect from a physician. I have been diagnosed with multiple rheumatological disorders and he has successfully managed keeping my prescription meds to a minimum compared to what other Rheumatologists prescribe. I highly recommend this Doctor to an individual with rheumatology disorders. He is the best. I have also been priviledged to w...

Provided by YP.comI have been seeing Dr. Lavery for almost 9 years. While I have never been a fan of his abrupt bed-side manner, I have always found him to be caring and sincere. He knows me, what is wrong with me and even remembers things about my family or my past. He always spends all the time I need of him discussing my ailments and I find that he is incredibly thorough. I have referred a dozen friends and neighbors to him.
What we don't talk about is a lot of personal stuff once we're past the niceties which is way fine by me. I don't need a friend, but a really good doctor that will be honest with me and that I can trust to take care of me. I have that with Dr. Lavery.

Provided by YP.comDr Lavery fails to properly diagnose time & time again. A Rheumatologist that does not recognize 'trigger-finger,' go figure. Does not regulate medications, checking for synergism, progression and/or effectiveness. Sincere patient concern and care severly lacking. Dr. Lavery would benefit loosing some interest in computer skills and learning how to diagnose his patience and relate on a human level.
