We walked in, and asked the lady at the desk if the office accepts Aetna dental, and bcbs dental. She said I have to call Aetna to find out, and no to bcbs dental. She did give me the phone to call Aetna(the number on the card I gave her). Aetna said that Monarch dental accepts the insurance. Then she spoke to Aetna. The office manager did say the cleaning is $5, so we scheduled anyways. After the cleaning, they said they wanted to schedule another extensive cleaning for $250 out of pocket, before the orthodontist would see the patient. Well, I cancelled BCBS because I thought it was also bogus insurance. I did find out they are on BCBS dentis list.



Well, we then went to Apple dentistry. Apple said that aetna and bcbs are accepted, took the card, and handled the rest on their own. We only told the dentist that a cleaning was done in the last two months. They cleaned the teeth for free, said the teeth looked clean, and gave us an orthodontist quote. No extensive cleaning required.

I left before even sitting down in a chair. I don't want a dentist showing the lack of discipline and organization when cleaning-out 3 miles of microscopic root tubules that I was shown in waiting outside for 25 minutes after the time I was told to arrive.



I was told twice via phone to arrive at 12:30pm to fill out paperwork. I arrived precisely on time to discover that the door was locked. I called the number of the door and was told that I'd be helped, and was then placed on hold for 10 minutes. The car parked directly beside me had a lady inside eating - she was roughly 20ft away from the door that I was knocking on for 25 minutes. Turns out she was the doctor - who just watched me stand there knocking in the Texas heat. So much for fiduciary duties.



When I finally got inside, I asked why I was told to arrive at 12:30, if the doors didn't open till 1. The response I received, "Well, we are usually closed from noon till 1pm, and today we were very busy"...Well if you were very busy, you would have someone in the office to attend to the patients and not have an office-wide lunch break during a scheduled appointment.



You should feel confident in the diligence and ethical behavior of your medical practitioners. I advise readers to take their health concerns elsewhere.
