About We are a former American Optical laboratory that was opened in Allentown, Pennsylvania in 1924. In 1984 eight employees purchased the lab and Allentown Optical was formed. Our president from 1984 to 2000 was Michael Gassler, who has sixty-four years of optical experience and remains involved in the business as a director. Our president since 2000 is Craig Walck. Joe Felker, VP, worked in the optical busines since 1980, has completed training as a computer and electronic technician and associates degree in computer science. Call us anytime with questions or problems. Our customer service department will go out of their way to help you. For any information on new lenses, products, or technical information, contact our Office Manager Denise Rossanese. If you ever feel that a problem is not being handled to your satisfaction, please do not hesitate to speak with our General Manager Barbara McGarvey. All prescriptions, whether plastic, hi-index, polycarbonate, or glass are fabricated to exact specifications and to your satisfaction. No prescription is too difficult, be it a high minus, slab off, or prism. Whatever your patient needs, we can provide it. Our turn-around time is fast. Uncut and special request rush prescriptions are out the same day, with NO extra charge. Why pay an extra rush fee that some labs charge for service that you expect and deserve?
