Metro Design Center started its humble beginnings on the south side of Bethlehem in the mid 1940s as Metro Products. Sidney Hausman started Metro on his return to civilian life after World War II. He started as a retailer of readymade slip covers and drapery. Through the sixty some years, Jerome Hausman, Sidneys brother, has evolved Metro into what it has become today.
