Wow! What happened here. Prices have skyrocketed and the employees are miserable. I know it's a tough economy but my goodness with service like this things won't be getting any better.
Walked out after they wouldn't help me.

Small pet bed almost 50 dollars. Took a dog home, they said it was wormed. It has a bad worm infestation. Who knows where they get their animals. Dog food is reasonably priced, but that is the ONLY thing. Everything else is 5 times what you would pay at any other pet store

An excellent experience! The young woman who helped me was amazingly knowledgeable. And I will be doing all of m pet business here from now on.

This is not your parent's Seahorse. New people run this store. Terrible service. High prices for low quality and they simply DO NOT stand behind what they sell. Buyer beware. Shameful.

I stumbled across the reviews for Seahorse recently and felt compelled to contradict these untruths. I disagree with comments such as no product knowledge, bad customer service, overpriced, etc…... I’m guessing the people who left such negative remarks are just impatient, hard to please people with an axe to grind.



I have been visiting this store for nearly twenty years and NEVER left disappointed and will keep coming back.

I love the dog food program. The prices are better then anywhere in our area. I use a lot of dog food and this feeding program they have is great.

Overpriced--which isn't the worst of it.

One word to describe the service--dishonest.

Poor quality fish--4 out of 10 died the next day. No refund, no sympathy-nothing.

They truly do not deserve to be in business.

It's a tough economy, you'll find better products and SERVICE elsewhere.

I am an avid saltwater hobbyist and the conditions of the holding areas for the saltwater fish are despicable. They keep them in 2x2 cubes lined up along the wall in which a large percentage of the fish looked pretty unhealthy. Saltwater fish need large living quarter even if being stored for a short time. Their live corals were also extremely over priced compared to Elmer's aquarium in Monroeville. The knowledge of the staff working there concerning the saltwater fish wasn't even lacking...it was completely non-existent. I even asked extremely simple questions that anyone with a simple saltwater tank should know concerning what type of lighting they use in their display tanks, the type of filtration used, and what the names were of a couple corals they were keeping just to test their knowledge before I trusted them to answer a question I didn't know. Needless to say, they couldn't provide me with an answer for anything. It definitely isn't the seahorse I remember when my parents would take me in when I was a toddler to look at the fish.

Should have heeded other warnings.

Fish are of questionable quality and there really is no customer service to speak of.

This place used to be good but I'm guessing the owners changed to people who are not trustworthy.

Would rate 0 stars if I could. Absolutely despicable and callous people working at this place. I purchase quite a few fish here and the next day several were dead. No refund, no replacement. NO I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK. Places like this don't deserve my business!

The merchandise is OK, but overpriced and heaven help you if you have a problem. Customer service is non-existent.
