DO NOT MOVE HERE..here's way yes the community is great and everyone is friendly UNTIL you move out. You will be charged absurd fees for things that are not damaged. I received a bill for $1,000 and nothing in my apartment was damaged. You are required to pay a $100 cleaning fee and you will be charged for everything...even if its not damaged. I have lived in 14 apartments throughout my life and i have never received a move out bill. I consider myself to be a great tenant. Don't get screwed in the end live somewhere else. Your rent will increase every time you renew your lease by $100.00 or more.

Deerfield Apts. are by far the worst apts. I have ever lived in. After signing the lease be prepared for a rude awakening. The staff in the office is as phony as phony gets and they "try" to undermine you, especially the property manager Karen. She couldn't care less about the property! There is a new younger girl in the office who was the only one who did her job well, pleasant and was rude/attitude free. If you email the manager about an issue or concern you will be ignored. The staff doesn't like children at all. They will complain if your child is seen riding a bike or playing outside and they actually get confrontational with kids. The apts. are centipede, termite, spider and bug infested. Their pest control Co. was useless. Once, I called the office @ 9:00 am because there were SNAKES living under the cracks by my front door! The lady in the office Lisa actually said “are you sure they’re not worms?” It took till about 5:30pm for the manager to actually send the maintenance supervisor to see if it was true. He came and looked under got on his radio and told the manager Karen that there were snakes under the cracks. She actually came 10 minutes later to see for herself. Would a resident make something like that up??? So, at almost 6pm is when they attempted to do something about it. The apts. are poorly constructed. The landscaping around certain apts. like mine was awful! There are many dogs on this property and many residents that do not pick up after them so you would have to be extremely careful when walking though the grass. The manager Karen once told a little boy in the breezeway next to me not to play outside go home and play in your house! I actually heard her one day tell the same little boy with a nasty attitude “you’re not running after that cat, are you?” The dumpster is always disgusting with furniture and mattresses that block its’ entrance. My breezeway lights were always without covers and the lights the majority of the time were out. When coming to my apt. at night it was pitch black. I found that to be a huge safety hazard in which the office could not care less! The fitness center is so tiny and the pool was always filthy! They never supervised the pool area. I witnessed kids throwing up in the water and finding poop in it on multiple occasions and would have to leave the pool!!! Many times groups of guys would come into the pool area and dive in with their work clothes and jeans on. The maintenance staff has horrendous dispositions. They “try” to intimidate the residents. When they came to do any little work order, they entered your apt. without greeting you and with a huge attitude like you were bothering them when in reality they were doing their job and poorly at that. If you put in a request to the office to be present when maintenance does a work order in your home the staff does not comply and maintenance will enter when you are not home. When placing a work order it takes days to get any little thing done! At times, it would take a 3rd call to the office to finally have a work order done. It is rare when calling the office that someone actually picks up. Don’t bother to leave a message because they don’t check their messages. If you mention you left a message they will claim they never got it! It was the typical MO. Plus their answering system many times would kick you out and say this service is not available at this time, please try again later! Though it is a gated community, the gates are always left open throughout the whole day, every day except on Saturdays and Sundays. In advance, at the end of your lease to be prepared for a $200+ increase! Living here was far from the "LIVNG EXCELLENCE" they stand behind. Welcome to Camden Deerfield!

Ok no problem.



The staff could have been honest about what I was getting in my lease. They claim one thing during the walkthrough and change your lease to state another. (costs you money)



The staff could have been friendly. If they find out you are leaving they will kill you on the move out costs and leave you rude voicemails about leaving (still have them)



The staff could have done something instead of doing nothing. They call to tell you, you can't use your bathroom fan because it's too loud but they do nothing about the kids who hit your windows with a bat and then climb your porch railing on a weekly bases.



Overall bad place to live. They lie, they charged way too much and they could care less about apt upkeep.



Oh and just a heads up the actual rent you pay will be about $100 more per month due to Mandatory cable and trash costs. What they list on their site is not accurate at all.



Oh and one last thing, DO NOT pay their pet fee. Unlike 90% of the surrounding apartments who charge a pet fee and no pet rent they do not put that money to pet related costs. I don’t know what they do with that money and they wouldn’t tell me what they do with that money. The answer I got was “you pay $375 just to have a pet in the apartment”



Move in across the street instead they are ten times better.

Horrible place, would not recommend

I couldn't think of a worst place to stay. In my first month I had to call about the oven not working, the garbage disposal being broken, the carpet being old and torn, they have sprayed four times for bugs. The units are old and have not been updated. The walls are so paper thin that I can hear my neighbors when they get calls in the middle of the night. Oh and good luck finding the trash compactor. If you're on the opposite side you have to drive around to just drop off your trash. Not convenient at all.

Even with all this what really would have been nice was for someone with Camden Deerfield to be considerate and listen instead of just saying yes we’ll fix it and then leaving it up to me to follow-up when it was fixed.

Horrible units with horrible service. I couldn’t get out faster!
