I have been seeing Dr. Howard for 3 months now. On my first visit he asked me a million questions. I was glad, I thought he was going to "PSYCHOANALYZE" me or something, maybe look for a certain type of medicine I need to be on or diagnose me with something other than general depression. I went back for my "medicine mgmt." appointment to sit there for less than 5 minutes and leave with a refill on my prescription. I had a deductible but couldn't pay it before my next scheduled appointment so the receptionist made me reschedule the appointment. I was supposed to be going once a month for some reason, whereas everyone I talked to said they only have to go once every three months. I paid the money I owed them, but when I called back I was informed that I owed an additional $100 for a "missed visit".... I didn't miss a visit, THEY made me cancel it because I couldn't pay it up front! I've been calling for a week now trying to arrange something. I've been told "I'll call you back" at least 5 times in the last week with only one return phone call and even then she had to tell me she'd call me back again later... but still didn't call back. Basically I can't get an appointment unless I can pay for my visit up front, and I can't pay for it right now!! So I haven't had my medicine for over a week now and I'm going crazy. These people know that you can't just take someone off antidepressants!!!!! You can't do that!!! I called them this morning and pleaded. I explained that I NEED my medicine and I REALLY NEED them to call me in a refill. I also told the receptionist that my friends have told me that they don't have to go once a month, only every three months. She got snappy with me and told me to go find another doctor. They won't refill my medicine; they won't see me unless I pay up front. They are obviously money hungry and don't really care about the wellbeing of the patients, otherwise they would have simply called in my refill or let me come in without paying up front.
