PBD provides product fulfillment services and solutions to associations, publishers and corporations worldwide. The corporation processes, fulfills and ships more than 1.7 million packages a year. PBD accounts fall into two full-service categories or front-end accounts and fulfillment only or back-end accounts. Front-end clients outsource their entire operation to PBD to take orders through phone, fax, mail, e-mail and the Internet. Orders are processed through the company s JDEdwards distribution software, which tracks sales, order status, inventory, payment, delivery and other information. Back-end clients collect their own customer orders and transmit them in batches to PBD, where they are processed for fulfillment. Headquartered in Alpharetta, Ga., the company has distribution centers in Alpharetta and Duluth, Ga., and Exton, Pa.
