DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE PUT AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF THIS LIST BECAUSE YOU ARE A NEW CUSTOMER!! I have been waiting for my deer for 13 months now and still nothing. Gary would not even give me an estimate as to when i could expect my deer. I was informed that all of his regular customers will be taken care of before me even if the customer brings their deer in a year after me. His explanation for this was that he has to keep his regulars happy. Very poor service and an absolute joke. WILL NEVER MAKE THE MISTAKE OF GOING TO GARY SMITH AGAIN!!! A one star rating is highly overrating this scam artist.

I brought two pieces to Gary, which included a beaver tail to be mounted on a board, and a beaver skull for a European mount. Ten months later, after some polite prodding, I get a call that the pieces are completed. I'll describe the European mount as an amateur hack job. The one screw holding the skull together was visible, and the original beautiful orange teeth had been spray painted over, and then redone with a stain. I was just expecting more, nothing like the pieces he had displayed as examples of his work.



The beaver tail on the other hand was acceptable, and I wanted to take it home. Unfortunately he still wanted the remaining balance for the skull, which I told him he could keep. Bottom line, I'm out $50 and no beaver skull or tail. Poor work and a bad attitude….You can do without it I can assure you.
