Rice High School is a college preparatory school that employs a staff of more than 50 full-time, certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes guidance counselors, athletic directors, nurses, librarians, classroom teachers and custodians. It provides counseling, health care, transportation and meal services to the students. Located in Altair, Texas, Rice High School supports local chapters of Future Farmers of America. The school operates a library media center that features a collection of business and company databases, magazines, journals, newspapers and online research links as additional resources. Rice High School teaches students in grades 9 through 12 and is a part of the Rice Consolidated Independent School District.
