The homeowners of this area consider Macaw Properties to have been a terrible management company. They lie about receiving reports-- if 10 homes report the same issue of harassment or vandalism from Macaw's own tenants, all 10 will get a reply saying ''Well if you're telling the truth, why has no one else complained!?''



They were just removed as our management company and I could not be happier. As the other reviews said, get everything from them in writing because they have absolutely no problem lying to you before and after you sign. This neighborhood has gone downhill rapidly because of Macaw's management. I can only hope the new management company can clean up Macaw's mess before the lease is up for renewal. If you are a homeowner/renter and want happy tenants and neighbors, do not use Macaw as your management company.

You cannot trust Macaw Properties. They made several promises before we moved in that were never kept regarding cleaning and yard work. Anytime there was an issue with the house-heat, air, plumbing-they were unavailable for repairs that needed to be done immediately. During our move out, they locked us out of the house, even though we were not finished moving our belongings out. They had also entered the house without giving any notice to show it. They kept our entire deposit, and they changed the reasons for keeping our deposit once we questioned them on it. They are unprofessional, rude, and you can't trust anything they say. If you deal with them, get EVERYTHING in writing.

I feel that they treat me as if I'm beneath them, because the property that I rent from them is in an older building and has cheap rent. During the time that I've worked with them, I've been yelled at, belittled, hung up on (via phone) and threatened. They are also very slow about repairs.
