This was not recent review as I did not have an account here yet when we worked with Christine. Because our sweet pet is a daily reminder of how Christine helped our family, I wanted to acknowledge that and refer her. I worked with another well-known local place and it was not personalized for my pet. So we tried Christine. Christine is the one here to work with regarding special problems and behavior modification. She was great for reading our dog .Great experience and I liked her honesty. Her husband seems well liked by the others I have referred there and good trainer too. I didn't work with him. Our dog was so scared when we first brought home. Wouldn't even take a treat. The only reason I didn't put 5 stars is in looking back, I wish my dog wasn't so treat oriented now from training. At times now bumps and at times mouths hands of our kids and their friends looking for treats. My dog is a rescue and will never be the brightest one out there because of damage of abuse. Still she helped us understand our dog. She helped our dog trust, love and become part of the family. I'm overall very pleased.

We have been to other trainers and training facilities in the area and Christine's K-9 Service is the hands down best! Classes are small and they are VERY knowledgable. We have three Rotties and two of them are going through classes here, basic obieidence and C.L.A.S.S. BA level. Our AKC Rottie has already passed and earned his CGC and his BA. Our rescue Rottie is becoming more focused and an all around better example of the breed. They are willing to work with you and your dog either in a small group or if it doesn't work for your dog's needs, with some private training. They listen and will provide you with the help that your dog(s) need. They will come early or stay a little later to discuss your concerns and your goals for your dog(s). We drive 30 minutes from NW Grand Rapids and it's WORTH the drive.

Christine and her staff are the best trainers in West Michigan. They use proven effective methods to elicit desirable behaviors from dogs without physical force, dominance, or other harsh methods. I trust Christine with my pups 100%.
