First, I guess counselors don't have to abide by any privacy laws because this counselor discussed other clients with me. These were clients I had met once previously at a group session. I felt it was very unprofessional to speak of them to me and wondered what she might say to them about me.



Second, don't waste your money on these people unless you just want to spend top $$ on a "friend" to chat with you about her personal trainer, her exercise program, her events at her house, her home decorating. After talking about her self and her own life, she may chat with you about yours but doesn't seem to have any useful skills. The only way this would have been helpful is if no one else in the world would talk to me. She seemed to care a lot more about herself than me. Don't think your session will last one minute beyond her time even if she made you wait until after start time.



Third, she sent me a $65 bill for a missed appointment. I was stalling on paying it because I was pretty unhappy about paying her for nothing when I was there but I really didn't want to pay her for nothing when I wasn't there. She right away let me know that if I didn't pay within a couple days, she would turn me into a bill collector. I did reluctantly pay it. Then, more than a year later, she sends me a bill with a hand written note telling me that she had billed me 2 times for 2 appts. and called me monthly and if I didn't pay within 5 days, "this will go into collection"! Wow! My insurance paid her very nicely I know. I have not received a phone call from her or a bill on this until now!!! More than a year later!!!



I don't know how anyone could feel good about paying her anything!



The business envelope had my name and address hand written on a torn piece of paper stuck in front of the window. Maybe she did send bills. I can't imagine why they wouldn't make it to me! She never called me! Not once!
