Provided by YP.comThis dance studio is nothing overly impressive. They have a nice facility, but I did not feel like I received my "money's worth". I exposed my pre-school-aged daughter to dance for the first time, and was surprised by the expenses that went into her year at the studio, and she's only 5!!! Among the mothly fee of $45.00, we were asked to pay a recital fee of around $45.00. Also, we were asked to purchase not one, but two costumes for her recital, which totalled around $150.00. In addition to the costumes, we needed to purchase special "tan-colored" tights which shold for $11-12 each. Also, the studio requires that the children where leotards and tights to each practice, as well as the shoes (tap and ballet) that you must purchase from the studio (around $50). For our FIVE year old to just be "exposed" to dance for one year, it ended up costing us almost $700 for the year. I understand that if you want your child in dance, you need to get used to the expense, but if that's the case, then it's not a choice for all based on family income. They seemed to be working up to the performance at the recital the entire year long -- same songs, same steps, same moves during each class. It became very monotonous, and the girls at this age became bored and uninterested. I think if you're looking for a studio to expose your daughter to dance, this is not the one. There are other studios in the area who are less per month, do not charge a recital fee of $45 (for what??), and you only have to purchase one costume for a pre-school aged child, and you don't have to purchase special shoes or tights at that age. My daughter became bored with the monotonous classes, and does not wish to do dance next year.
