I don't like paying high prices for lumber, but at least Fox Lumber tries to be fair to the consumer. If you don't like it here drive over towards the Red River and go to the lumber yard in Vernon. Great people, but the prices are about double. We bought 37 bundles of shingles and got charged about $1150 in Vernon. Comparing apples to apples with the identical shingle it will only cost you $578 Altus. I know lumber is high and I certainly don't think (9) 1x4's should cost you a cool clean Benjamin Franklin ($100). That is a fact of life, but those 9 boards in Vernon will be about $130... don't gripe about this place too much because they can raise their prices and they will still be lower than their Vernon Competition!!!!
