Provided by YP.comMoore Transmission is the best. I have called the owner, Ronnie, and he is always willing to help. I have taken my car to them for work in the past, and I recently took another car to him for work. The work was performed quickly, accurately, and the price was fair. Definitely 5 stars all the way around! Thank you Moore Transmission for the great work!

Provided by YP.comEdit: After two months of issues after the OSS swap, my car finally broke down going down 45. I pulled a code for a crank position sensor failure. I removed it and it was snapped in half with plier marks on it. Your shop did that RIPPING the wrong sensor out without rotating the alternator. But no worries. I fixed your mess up in my garage. Look at a schematic next time before ripping parts out. See attachment to see my destroyed CPK they broke.
Everyone have a good look at that cause that's what'll happen to your car if it visits this shop.
Reply to below: you have a 2.5 star rating. Clearly most of your customers aren't happy with your service. Other mechanics in town talk about you left and right. Heard about the guy you threw through a window at your old shop. I don't doubt it a bit. Have fun being in business, it won't last forever. Btw: had my car for 6 years, I didn't just buy it, and that's the only issue it's ever had.
Well sorry you had such a traumatic experience here. But let us get some things straight as far as what the problem was and tell the truth and the facts. First off we did exactly what you told us to do and changed the speed sensor that you had bought and brought to us. The other problems you tried to blame on us like the motor making noise, the broken exhaust manifold bolts you knew about, the power steering leaks, the windows not rolling up and down, and all the other ridiculous things you kept harassing me about had nothing to do with us changing the speed sensor. Maybe it all had to do with the fact you told me you just had bought the 15 year old taurus for 500.00 and it had a whole lot more issues with it. Secondly, the aggressive and violet behavior was on your end. I ask you to leave my business several several times which you would not, ask you several more times when you came back a second and third time and started acting like some race car driver doing donuts in my parking lot, starting and stopping trying to burn out, slamming on the brakes going forward and reverse. I informed you to leave and not come back even after you threatened me with your "CCW". It would have been easier for me to just call the police but I was trying to be nice because I realized you might have been having an off day. If you had had any "legit complaints", I would have taken care of it, but you were only trying to get us to fix problems on you car that had nothing what so ever to do with changing a speed sensor and I certainly was not going to do any of those repairs for free just because you just bought a 500.00 car with problems. News flash: The customer is not most certainly always right, as in this case. We as business owners go out of way to try and make every customer happy but obviously its not always possible. So I understand you are upset and buying a car that has problems but to bash a business and make up stories about what really happened, is completely uncalled for.

Provided by YP.comThey've worked on several of my vehicles over the years, including the transmission on my boat(what other shop would do that). Ronnie and his staff have always treat me great. He gives me a fair price, delivers when promised and does it right. My truck's transmission is still running strong over 100,000 miles after the rebuild.

Provided by YP.comI had to give this idiot 1 star because I couldn't give him zero. Took my daughters Jeep in because it would get stuck in gear. We dropped it off with the hopes he would contact is with great news...it would be a simple fix and no problem. Not the case. We had to call him and find out the status. He told me the clutch was fine and transmission worked smoothly without any issues. He told me the problem was a $10 but he needed to pull the transmission to get to it and that would cost $600. Ok fine let's fix it. I'm putting my 16 year old daughter in it and we want it working properly and safely. We dropped it back off Monday afternoon. His employee told us he couldn't get the Jeep to do the issue but the owner said it did it for him after he warned it up. We don't hear anything for a full week until my husband called for the status and was told the transmission was FULL of water and now needed a complete rebuild along with a new clutch for $1700. My husband, daughter and myself head down
Yet another ridiculous comment/ review from a completely bone headed customer. Funny, you stated you were "putting My 16 yr old daughter in it", Yet once we discovered that the transmission was in fact full of water which was causing the problem... you didn't want to fix it. You were not charged not one penny for what we did do. Not at all. Also, to be clear the transmission does need new bearing and synchros because of water intrusion.... the clutch was only suggested because that would be the appropriate time to do the clutch while the transmission is out being worked on. Btw, I never needed to contact ya'll because ya'll were calling us every hour to see what was going on, I was to busy answering phone calls for you to look at your vehicle. And for the record, I informed you that regardless of what your vehicle needed we here at Moore Transmission would not be performing any work now or in the future for you after the ridiculous performance you put on at my shop YESTERDAY ( right before you wrote this which is before you even came to pick up the vehicle) as we were trying to explain to you what needed to be done. So any businesses that happen to read this review I warn you now ... "vendors beware of this lady". Once again there was no workmanship done to your vehicle to complain about nor were there were also no charges because we refused to do any repairs for you.

Provided by YP.comI am a drag racer and use Moore transmission for all my tranny work . Ronnie always does an excellent job. Tranny in a race car with 800 hp takes a whole lot of beating and i must say the transmission holds up way longer than other drag racers i know . I will only use Moore transmission on my daily driver and race car.
Thanks for all the good work .

Provided by YP.comWe have been dealing with Ronnie Moore at Moore Transmissions for 5 years now. I own an independent shop in Stafford and Ronnie does all my transmission work. In my opinion, he has treated us honestly and fairly with every job that we have taken to him. Of all the transmissions that he has worked on, we only had a problem with 2 in 5 years. And both of those were part failures - NOT WORKMANSHIP! In both cases, Ronnie got on the vehicle right away and fixed the part related problem. All under warranty. I trust Ronnie implicitly with all my transmission needs. He runs a straight up business and is a fair, no non sense man. My father in law has used him for 10 years in his auto business and continues to go back to Ronnie for the same reason as I do. We trust him and he does excellent work. I would recommend Ronnie to anyone in need of transmission,, transfer case, rear end work.

Provided by YP.comGo some place else, I had my truck in there for a rear end rebuild and Transmission repair and both time I have had to go back
Rear end started leaking and had to take it back, and the transmission throw out bearing gave out and had to go back and have that fixed again. Now after 1 week with the second bearing, it rattling like is never been replaced.
After the rear end work I had over spray all over the front fender and mirror, now after picking up the truck for the second throw out bearing, Im missing a 1/2 tank of gas, (after filling it up the day I brought it in) and my AC was COMPLETELY empty and not working (again it was blowing 40 deg the day before). I had my mech check for leaks the day I picked it up and no leaks were found. Hmmmmmm.
I did call and leave a message to give me a call about the AC, and he did not even have the courtesy to call and talk to me about it.
One other thing I keep my truck is great shape and clean , After this second trip back I have grease spots in the carpet and my hands were dirty from just driving it not 2 miles to my Mechs.
Ill never be back. Save yourself a lot of headache and find someone else.
What really amazes me is he told me does trans work for Ron Carter.
For starters Davis B, this is completely unbelievable that you have the nerve to write this and leave out all of the facts of what really happened. Fact number 1, you “had your truck in here for a rear end rebuild” …. Yes … in 2011 with 209,381 miles and 2 years later and with 273,699 miles, 64,318 miles later and 52,318 miles Out of Warranty the pinion seal did start leaking. IN WHICH WE AT MOORE TRANSMISSION FIXED THE LEAK COMPLETELY UNDER WARRANTY WITH NO CHARGE WHAT SO EVER TO YOU. Fact number 2, you “had your truck in here for Transmission repair”… Yes… in 2012 not at the same time we did the rear end…. In 2013 38,702 miles later again Out of Warranty by 26,702 miles the Throw-out Bearing, which we buy new and do not make, did start making noise…. And yet again, WE AT MOORE TRANSMISSION FIXED IT COMPLETELY UNDER WARRANTY WITH ABSOLUTELY NO CHARGE TO YOU. BOTH OF THE WE TOOK CARE OF WHEN WE DID NOT HAVE TO AT NO CHARGE AT ALL. As far as the A/C, I have no knowledge of a problem there nor did you ever bring it to my attention. Besides the fact we DO NOT do a/c repair anyways. And “missing ½ tank of gas”…. Completely frivolous MADE UP LIES and you know it. Next time you try and bash a business Davis B try and tell the truth about what really happened. And make sure you include the fact that not only did we do the repairs under warranty when we DID NOT HAVE TOO, BUT DID THEM WITH NO CHARGE AT ALL FOR YOU. A THANK YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN IN ORDER NOT THIS. I have been in business at this location for more than 14 years and never have we had any complaints of wrong doing EVER. I catered to you to make you happy even when you WERE OUT OF WARRANTY !!!

Provided by YP.comForget it. Took vehicle in for free diagnosis after check engine light came on. 1st time contacted, advised repair was completed and I owed $615. Next day, check engine light was back on. Told to take to dealership now because they don't know how to get the light to stay off. Garage advised it was a computer problem and repairs done by Moore were unnecessary.
If this write up or complaint is in regards to the 2005 Carvan then let me start by saying this. Your vehicle had multiple multiple transmission as well as engine codes stored in the memory of the computer. The repairs we performed to your transmission which was stuck in a failsafe mode because of a bad solenoid body did fix that problem, period. We also performed a preventive maintenance service on it as well. The part the you left out was the fact that you also had Oxygen sensor codes in the ECM that you also wanted us to change as well knowing there may be a reflash or reset of the ECM if they came back. The O2 sensor issues had nothing to do whatsoever with the transmission repairs at all. None of the repairs performed on your vehicle were "unnecessary". The fact is you did have more than one problem with engine and transmission. The transmission repairs were fixed 100%. The engine repairs which was just O2 sensor just needed added ECM reflash.
