Use caution when allowing your physician or hospital to call BritKare to provide medical equipment! My son needed a wheelchair and the hospital contacted BritKare to provide. They delivered the wheelchair to the hospital and all was fine until they began calling me saying that they didn't get all of the paperwork they needed from the hospital and that if I didn't get everything sent to them that they were going to bill me directly and file for collections if I didn't pay. I gave them my health insurance information over the phone but they also wanted my social security number. I told them that I wouldn't give that over the phone but that I would gladly put it on a form if they would email or fax one to me. I was told that they don't work that way. BritKare failed to get all of the necessary paperwork before they delivered the equipment and now they are trying to make pay for the equipment without processing it through my health insurance because they won't do the one simple thing required by the hospital to get the information needed to bill my insurance. After speaking with the hospital, all BritKare has to do is fax a request on company letterhead and the hospital will provide anything they need. I called BritKare and told them that and they still refuse to send the letter to the hospital.
