Dr. Patrick R. Crawford is a graduate of the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco receiving his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine(D.P.M.) degree in 1983. He completed his podiatric surgical residency at Mesquite Physicians Hospital outside of Dallas and opened Amarillo Foot Clinic in 1986. In 2006 the Clinic moved to 1600 Coulter Street, Amarillo, Texas 79106. Dr. Crawford is certified by both the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (Board Certified in Foot Surgery) and by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine (Board Certified in Foot Orthopedics). Dr. Crawford speaks fluent Spanish as does his Office Manager, Irma Gamez. All types of foot problems are treated from ingrown toenails to complex foot deformities requiring reconstructive surgical procedures. "My goal is to help people walk without pain and thereby help patient's general health. Patients who no longer have foot pain are going to be more active and in that way be more healthy and fit". Dr. Crawford was born in Denver, received his early education in suburban Denver schools, and received his Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Colorado in Boulder. Dr. Crawford is a former Captain in the Unites States Marine Corps serving in both the United States and Asia. He and his Wife enjoy travel, exercising, skiing. and are devoted animal lovers. Dr. Crawford is a member of the Amarillo Museum of Art, Smithsonian Institute, American Podiatric Medical Association, the Texas Podiatric Medical Association, and is a contributing member to the Nature Conservancy, The World Wildlife Fund, Defenders of Wildlife, The American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and The Human Society of The United States.
