Don't get ripped off! First of...

Don't get ripped off! First of all, I told them exactly what to check when I brought it in. I fix my own cars but didn't have time to get to it and AAA recommended me going here. After 1 full work day of "testing" they told me it wasn't the starter (which I had suspected), and asked to keep it over the weekend. I consented, then on Monday they got back to me around noon about what they found out and gave me a cost of $478!! I asked what the issue was exactly then asked for the part number. I have a manual transmission and the part number they gave me was for an automatic transmission. There is no place on my car where that part could possibly fit even if they wanted to!!! I told them this and he told me he'd call me back. From what they "diagnosed" I couldn't understand where a 45 min. job (at $94/hour) and a $32 OEM part would end up costing me $478!!!! He got back to me a few hours later and told me that it was actually another part (one that would cost $100). I questioned this as well because knowing my car, if that part were bad, the car would still start. I told them to button it up and I'd come pick it up. They didn't call me and tell me it was done, I had to call and find out for myself. Then they called me back 10 min. later to ask if I was coming that day as I was driving there having just told them I was (they wanted to close up shop). Yes, I reported them to AAA and no, I will never be coming back there. Not to mention they broke my fuse pliers and left them on the floor mat for me in pieces. I asked for a piece of wire (would be an even trade for breaking my pliers I thought) and even this was too much to ask, I had to stop at an autoshop to buy a piece of wire. Bad service = Bad review, I hope I've warned someone and saved someone some money, if I didn't know cars, I'd be out $478 for a $32 job that I'm doing while I write this... If you need some work done on your car, PM me and I'll tell you where to go...

Customer came in on a Friday afternoon wanting his starter replaced which is VERY expensive on his Audi. After some discussion, he agreed to testing for the source of the problem instead of just replacing parts. He was given a loaner vehicle for the weekend FREE OF CHARGE so we could finish testing on Monday. The good news was that the starter was not the problem and we did find the source of the issue. The customer refused to believe the results of testing by a Master Technician with well over 20 years of experience and instead chose to believe something he read on the internet. We really want to help and appreciate that there’s lots of information out there, but ask people to please be careful. You’ve got to trust somebody sometime and we work very hard to earn and keep that trust with each customer. The part the customer mentioned as being only $32 will not fix the car as it has to do with the cruise-control, NOT the starter. We are happy that we were able to save the customer from having to replace the starter and hope he will eventually be able to get the car repaired correctly. The wire mentioned by the customer was used by the technician to bypass the failed part and help get the car started so the customer wouldn’t have to push start it yet again. We of course could not leave the wire in place as it would allow the car to be started in gear which is potentially very dangerous to the customer and others.

They warranty their work

I wrote the previous review about my evo leaking fluids. dexknows won't let you delete/edit reviews thus I'm writing an update. I ended up taking it back to them and they took care of the issue. It's been driving great until lately it seems to have a slow leak somewhere. Even though it's been months since then they are still living up to there word even after I wrote that nasty and over the top review. That right there speaks volumes in service, especially in the auto repair industry. Mike, the service manager, is great to work with. He'll go the extra mile every time. As one example, he traveled to SLC to find rims for my car and gave me a great selection - then hooked me up with a great deal on them. Jon, one of their mechanics, is a good guy too.

Truly World Class Repair!

When I called World Class Auto Service, I was at my wits end. My car wouldn't start, and I didn't know what to do. Thank goodness for businesses like World Class! First, they helped me find a tow truck, and then gave me a ride to (and then from!) work. While I was at work, the did a thorough examination of my car, diagnosed the problem that had stranded me as well as other potential problems down the road. Then they called me, answered my questions, helped me prioritize the issues, and had me back on the road again! I realize this isn't a typical scenario, but if World Class performed this well under odd circumstances, I look forward to seeing the kind of service they provide on an every day basis. Thanks, World Class!
