Barbara's Alterations

I have been using Barbara's Alterations for more than 10 years. They are really good Christian people. I can call and pick up my altered clothes, often at my convenience. In the entire 10 years that I have been leaving my things there, I have only had one mis-measure. I brought the pants back to Barbara and she altered the pair of pants at no charge.

I suspect that with the earlier review the pants were somehow overlooked. If that customer had bothered to drop off the pants letting Barbara or one of her daughters know of the error, then they would have quickly made the correction. All one had to do was to give Barbara a call, she would have gotten the pants altered with much apology and no additional charge. People can not correct what they are not told about. No one is perfect all the time. We all make mistakes, including the lady who wrote the first review. cw

I took 2 pair of new pants to be hemmed. I had already tried the pants on and marked the length they needed to be after hemming. When I got the pants back days later and put them on to wear with the same pair of shoes I measured them against at first; they appeared to be the exact same length as before. I'm not sure if they were overlooked and was mistakenly placed in the finished pile or what. I didn't bother taking them back, because I didn't want to pay twice. I'm not saying this business is not good to use, but I personally will not be using it again. This is only my experience; someone else experience may be better.
