This church has about 200 regular attenders (when I attended). It is very culturally diverse as well and has people of all ages. They have many kids at HBC as well. I was in the college age Sunday school class. The teacher was not to bad (a little boring and not very deep). He decided to play the guitar and we would sing to it. I was wondering if we were in a kids class. It was awkward. The service was good. Mostly hymns (thats what I like). The sermon was ok. The pastor was giving advice like he had been though every situation in life and had all the answers. He tried to make it seem like he was an academic but being a college student this was clearly a ruse. He may have a degree but you can tell he probably just did the minimum amount of work to get it. He has a degree but is not what you would call educated (or intellectual for that matter). He did preach from the bible and the other people I met were friendly. I was disappointed that they don't have a special college small group.

This church needs to pay more attention to who is helping them. I have seen a known drug using(and is still known for using) couple teach the children classes. I have seen one known drug dealer be a door greeter. And I have seen them take in the evil doers and push out victims. How can one call this a church? I understand all of us are sinners, but do I want drug users teaching my children the word of God? NO! We all need the word of God in our lives, even the people I have mentions, but I dont think the church should be letting them help in the church in that way. And for the church to be there to help these evil doers and neglect the victims of evil doers is completely upsetting to me! What is the foundation of this "church family" because I don't think it is GOD! I think it is business man Randy Abel's way to make lazily make some money!!

The review below is totally false. Hearland Baptist Church is an awesome church for those who want to hear the true Word of God, and to be involved with other loving Christians seeking to become closer to Christ.

You'll be hard pressed to find a more hard working and yetfriendly group of people who want to not only provide a great place for you to attend to hear the Bible taught but are verywelcoming to all those who wish to serve the Lord there.

If you are interested in food and fun then this is the church for you. But if you are serious about learning about God and salvation this is not the church for you. I would not even call it a church. I'd call it a club.
