Provided by YP.comNot very pleased with the company. Deducted from my deposits for cleaning when I left the place cleaner and in better shape then when I moved in would not recommend it. Over priced and never really responsed urgently to maintainance request. Our paperwork was "lost" too so very unprofessional glad I only had to stay there for one year.
I moved in to one of there places with stains in the carpets. Stains on the blinds and claw marks all over the window treatments. My bedroom door even had a hole in it I was told before even moving in we would have new kitchen/dining floors installed that was never done till I was moving out. Then they are trying to charge me for the new floor they were intending on putting in anyway. We were told by our pleasent landlady, that retired this year, she was pretty mad to find out they didn't replace the floors as they were intending to. Laundry room was a joke.
As mentioned good luck getting a response from management it's like pulling teeth. Takes 3-4 calls and 4-5 emails to the head manager (Tracy) then she basically says I could of charged you more. Saying there was no cat there before us when we moved in claw marks up and down the curtains. Like look at repair records first cause I don't think month in a front declawed cat is going to run up and ruin a curtain.
I would probably lived in the Grove or copper beach, again, Over this establishment.

Provided by YP.comThese apartments are overpriced for the amenities that they offer, ppm has shitty management that will try to screw you over, and maintenance is not up to par.
The laundry room for the apartment building that I was living in had a broken tile that could easily be tripped on was not fixed the whole year we were there and there was an open electrical panel only covered up by a dingy curtain that looks like it was there for over 5 years. On a good day only half of the dryers actually dried anything.

Provided by YP.comProfessional is the last word I'd use to describe this management company.
1. The receptionist will not direct you to someone educated in the area your have questions about (certain applications and processes). Receptionist gives completely different information to one person than the next. She claimed that "why can't you just understand what I'm saying?" And was harsh, rude and started yelling over the phone.
2. We had Internet problems for nearly 2 months. We called and let them know there was an issue and we were told for 2 months "they were working on it". And by working on it they meant they were doing nothing. They never called Mediacom to see what could be the issue. They expected us to set up the appointment and be there to meet the Mediacom worker. Finally after phone calls, emails, and personally going in to talk with them did they decide to do something about it.
3. Do not expect them to be helpful in a roommate transfer situation. Everything is put on you. No help making meetings with them or finding out times. Terrible about communication.
4. They won't give you any of your deposit back. You can leave your apartment in better condition than you recieved it and they will still find reasons to not give your full deposit back.
Overall I suggest not renting from a place that is run by professional property management. There are so many better options out there that will treat you with respect and not yell at you.

Disappointing is an understatement. This company has no moral or ethical standards and are more than willing to do whatever it takes to keep your entire deposit. If you attempt to dispute the fraudulent charges, you will be brushed off,. It doesn't appear that they have anyone watching them, so they are free to lie to steal your deposit. They have NO positive reviews online, which should have warned me off, but I was naive and thought that predatory landlords were a big city problem. Ames is a wonderful college town and does not need companies like PPM taking advantage of college students. I happen to be disabled and my boyfriend is a veteran. If they're so willing to screw with us, they will screw with you too. I can only hope that people reading this review will think twice about renting with them. Please, if you live in Ames, don't allow PPM to hurt you, like they hurt us.

I would recommend this business to anybody who wants PPM to manage their property, but not to anybody who wants to rent property through PPM. They are all for the interest of the property owner with no considerations for renter's needs. They try to get as much money out of the renters' pockets as they can get, and one way to get money is to make renters responsible to pay for maintenance and yardwork. All other apartments I have rented included these services at no extra cost. Also some of the personnel have been very rude to their clients, deceptive, and not helpful. ###### I made a big mistake by renting through them, but I hope that anyone who reads this looking for a place to rent will save their money and much stress by looking elsewhere. ######Anyone who is looking for someone to rent out your property for you, this place is a winner. I would give PPM 5 stars if I had been on that side of the deal!
