Since 2010, Blythewood has made many improvements such as updating and renovating the bed & breakfast rooms with new bathrooms, mattresses, bedding sets and has given several rooms themes such as the new Mardi Gras Room. The floors in the Great Hall, Front Parlor, Second Parlor and Dining Room have been refinised and restored to their original beauty. We are currently working on the grounds and have plans to continue making improvements. We have received a few but extremely harsh reviews that were simply exaggerated and some just not true. Blythewood was in need of updating inside and some exterior repair which has been completed and we would love to show off our accomplishments. Ms. Hoover has been a wonderful and much needed addition as our new manager and innkeeper . Please contact her and she will graciously show you around.

Pros:

1) Exterior has been restored to a magnificent plantation home

2) First floor interior has been renovated to it original beauty

3) A great place to host a party or have a wedding



Cons:

1) Beds are extremely uncomfortable

2) Bath tub had peeling paint – gets on you when bathing

3) Sheets were dirty

4) Owner gouged us with extra charges that were not mentioned up front

5) Prices are high for the poor conditions of the mattresses, sheets, and lack of cleanliness
