Provided by YP.comTo anyone who is even considering putting their child in this daycare, PLEASE BEWARE!! My son has encountered so many behavioral issues since he has started coming here. I was told that my son, over a period of 2 years, was the one constantly getting in to trouble; hitting, punching, not listening etc.. I have had him in counseling now for a year and a half. He finally opened up to his counselor about the stuff that was actually going on in the school/daycare and it was horrible. This whole time I was made to believe that my son was the problem, when in reality, the teachers and staff were making him feel that he could not open up to them when something was going on (bullying), instead he was called a tattle tale. My son has withdrawn from so many social activities and I truly believe that it is because of what the teachers made him feel like. I am so upset that it has taken me nearly 2 years to discover what was truly going on at this place. I also believe that when you work with kids you should act and dress appropriatley, which was not the case here. Over half of the staff dresses sleezy, sometimes revealing too much or dressing in clothing that has skulls and stuff like that. Peircings and tattoo's should be covered at least while you're working but here they are not. I don't know about the lady who wrote the other review on here but as for me, I have put up with WAY too much here. I am finally starting to get a back bone. Do not take your kids here!!!

Provided by YP.comIt is not safe. I needed a place that was open early enough and on Saturdays. I like to visit a day care on several different days before putting my child in a Day Care. This way I can see how things run. Acorn informed me that no one could get into the children's room unless you put your finger print in and accepted. On 2 occasions the system was down. On one occasion I brought my son for a tour and one of the teachers opened up the door with out a finger print and no alarm nothing. So I inquired about the system and got the run around. When no one was looking I opened the door and nothing happened. No alarm nothing. On another occasion there was no one at the front desk. So in my mind, I could see a total stranger walking right in or a child walking right out into the parking lot. On the same occasion we were shown the kitchen and the back door was being held open with a chair. Next door is the Institute of knowledge and there is always people outside right by that door. Anyone could walk right in, or a child right out.
I had turned in a schedule for my son's pick up days 2 times and both were lost as well as our information packet.
After much consideration, I felt this place was not supervised enough and unorganized. They give you allot of talk but that's it.
I had a horrible vibe all along but had no other options, my schedule ended up freeing up so I didn't need their services and I canceled before my son's first day. Thank goodness.
We have a staff of 20 wonderful teachers and a student body of over 80 terrific kids. We know Jenn Knutson - she never used our services, as she states in her review. We wish her and her kids well with which ever day care she chooses. Please call us at (208) 524-7127 if you have any questions.
