A Dream Remodel

What started as a simple replacement of flooring in our downstairs bath, ended up a remodel of literally half of our house. Our kitchen, family room, guest bathroom, and master bath were finished the end of May. We are thrilled with the results! We chose G and A House of Kitchens based on a recommendation of someone I worked with. We also met with another remodeling company, but their estimate was sky high and I had heard estimates are usually lower than the finished amount. The actual amount we paid Al came in slightly LOWER than his estimate! Al was great to work with as were all of the other workmen. We were especially impressed with Lucas who did incredible cutting and laying of tile. We had many handmade tiles that had to be very carefully cut. He was meticulous with his layout. Lucas is an artist! The whole project went very smoothly. I have since recommended G and A House of Kitchens to other friends who are considering a remodel. I would definitely use them again.

G & A Delivered More Than Expected.

Our 40 year old kitchen needed more than a little paint when we began looking for a contractor. We had heard horror stories of other people who started a kitchen remodel that dragged on forever, and wanted someone who would give us an accurate estimate and above all, start and end on time. We had 2 sets of personal friends who had used G & A and were very satisfied with the results, thus the call and visit to them. First, the designer (Mari) arrived a few minuets early for her appointment, measured everything and explained various options. So we could compare the different prices, she broke out each individual segment so we could add, cut or change to fit our budget. Then her boss (Al) came out to double check her measurements, and suggested adding and changing a couple of things. He even threw in an extra couple of drawers we hadn't thought of, because he was sure we would want them in the end. (We did and enjoy them everyday!) The demo was scheduled for a couple of weeks down the line, and the crew including Al were right on time. They took extra precautions in blocking off other sections of the house with clear plastic tarps to prevent dust, and were finished with the demo in just a few days. EVERYTHING was hauled away in their trucks every night.....we didn't even have to leave a car out of the garage until much later when some of the new appliances began to arrive early! The counter tops were measured and given 10 working days to installation. They were installed on the 10th working day. Beginning to end took 3 weeks and 2 days - actually a little ahead of what we were expecting. We found all of their on-site workman to be extremely professional and honest. They worked as well alone as they did when we were present. Even the sub-contractors (plumbers and electricians) were always on time and more than welling to do little extras when requested. Although we never shopped anyone else for a better deal, I feel we could not have been any happier with anyone other company. G & A is small enough to provide personal service with all of their own staff and experienced enough to know the latest and best techniques for a professional installation. I will recommend them to any family, friends or neighbors contemplating a kitchen remodel.

The Pratts

We recently had our kitchen remodeled using G&A House of Kitchens. Mari did a great job developing the plans with us and then coordinating the necessary services. Everyone showed up per scheduled appointments and our kitchen was finished as per the planned timeline and very effeciently. The kitchen looks beautiful and is so much better than anything we could have come up with ourselves. Thank you Mari and G&A House of Kitchens!

Updated Kitchen

We had our kitchen cabinets refaced, a Corian countertop and sink installed, and the tile on the floor re-done. We also had a new sink, a water purifier, and a soap pump installed. Everything went smoothly and the crew was incredibly neat when considering all the dust that was produced from the demolition portion of the job. The cabinets came out beautiful and the cabinet hardware that they installed really made our kitchen look more contemporary. I found G&A House of Kitchens to be very helpful and very easy to talk to about any concerns or ideas I had about the project. The sales representative was very helpful. She explained the choices they had to offer so that we fully understood what we were getting. Everyone in the G & A House of Kitchen Crew was very helpful and very polite. We would highly recommend them to our family and friends. Our kitchen turned out beautiful and we are very happy with the way it looks.

Love My Master Bath Remodel

I am happy to have selected the right contractor to do the job--G & A.

My project went like clockwork. It was completed on budget & pretty much on time. Workmanship was very good, with the tile work being excellent. The new bathroom layout is both functional and attractive, plus a tripled my storage space. Over time, we are finding that the materials selected for the job are very functional, easy to maintain and look good, too.

G & A included improvements like multiple overhead lighting options& functional/attractive tile layout that we never even thought about, but have added to the overall finish of the job.

The people at G & A are very pleasant to work with and are accomodating. I hope to have my kitchen remodeled by G & A in the future

80's kitchen transformed into a modern beauty

Let me first say that my husband and I have referred G&A to many of our friends and colleagues since our kitchen was completed in April. A full on kitchen remodel is a huge commitment of time, effort and money...in truth it is quite scary. It took us 2 years to finally pull the trigger on this project to get it started. I did due diligence by researching local companies, including the big box stores and the ones advertised on AM radio stations - including checking reviews and BBB. We received quotes from 3 local well known companies, Great Indoors, and G&A. There are some real characters out there who will not leave your house until you agree to signing on with them - we kicked that guy to the curb! Price was not the only criteria, we needed to trust the company to fulfill it's end of the contract and complete the project in a specified time frame. We also desired a company that had its own people to do all of the work. We were looking to NOT get screwed like so many people who embark on remodelling projects. Plus I already knew how I wanted my kitchen to look so the design aspects were already taken care of. We needed someone to bring my ideas to fruition.

We met with Al of G&A, and found him to be one of the most upfront kind of guy ever - honest, very real and funny too. They have a no frills showroom, but don't judge their company by their showroom. G&A does fantastic work and have been in this business for generations. We appreciated the open communication and fast response to questions/concerns that we had. From planning, preparation, price negotiations, changes to the order, workmanship, and completing the project in a timely manner...they earned major props from us!

We went from an oak 80's style kitchen to a clean modern kitchen with cherry wood cabinets, glass tiles and lots of stainless steel. Even Al's guys were blown away at how beautiful the kitchen turned out when completed. Ask to see photos of my "Rowland Heights" kitchen when you meet with G&A.
