Established in 2009 Slater's 50/50 was founded in 2009 in Anaheim Hills, California by Scott Slater, a San Diego State graduate with a passion for gourmet comfort food and craft beer. Teaming up with Executive Chef Brad Lyons, they created the world's first 50/50 burger - 50 percent ground bacon and 50 percent ground beef - taking the Southern California restaurant scene by storm. In 2011, the second Slater's 50/50 opened in Huntington Beach followed quickly by the San Diego location. Since opening, Slater's 50/50 has won a number of awards and accolades including "Best Burger" by The Orange County Register, OC Weekly and FOX 5 San Diego as well as Best New Restaurant by San Diego Magazine. Slater's 50/50 has also been featured on national television shows including the Travel Channel's Bacon Paradise and Discovery Channel's United States of Bacon.

I look forward to my once a month splurge. vowing never to order the same thing twice.
the staff is always friendly, the atmosphere is fun, and the food is to die for.
even on those days that things just didn't go your way, you can always count on Slaters to lift your spirits and you leave w a smile.

How about a Big Burger

Slater 50 50 Hamburgers is very close to where I work. We celebrate birthdays by having the Birthday Boy or Girl decide where they want to have lunch. Lunch is covered by the rest of us. Our Birthday Girl in this case picked 50 50 Hamburgers as our destination. None of us was disappointed. Custom ordered, using a "check off" list and prepared exactly the way you ordered it. 50 50 offers so many mouth watering appetizers. The staff was on their toes and anticipated our needs without us having to ask. I like that in a restaurant server. Throw in a fabulous Shake, and I'm content. Would recommend Slater 50 50 Hamburger Restaurant to anyone who likes special Burgers / Fries / Shakes. This place is a little out of the ordinary, and refreshing as a result. You gotta try it.

You MUST experience 50/50

I recently visited 50/50 after a football game, a group of us were meeting there before going to dinner somewhere. We ordered drinks and appetizers and watched sports on TV.

Not only was the staff very friendly, the owner came by and was telling us about his own creation, a fabulous cheesy dip.

I found the menu to be very creative with so many different style hamburgers and then of course the 'build your own' that was awesome.

I was so impressed that for my B-day lunch, I celebrated there along with several co-workers. They loved the food, the atmosphere, the service. We wanted to try everything on the menu. We ordered 3 different appetizers, had non-stop drinks, and then ordered our lunch, there was a hamburger style for every person.

I heard everyone at our table say they definitely were going back, and everyone thanked me for selecting a fun place to have lunch that had fabulous food.

You MUST experience 50/50 !!
