Founded in 1992, Alaska Newspapers Inc. is a subsidiary of Calista Corp., one of the largest Alaska Native corporations in the state. Based in Anchorage, Alaska, it publishes six weekly community newspapers, including The Arctic Sounder, The Bristol Bay Times, The Cordova Times, The Dutch Harbor Fisherman, The Seward Phoenix LOG and The Tundra Drums. In addition, it also publishes a statewide shopper, a statewide magazine and slate of special publications. Alaska Newspapers Inc. also maintains a printing service called Camai printing.
