If I could give a zero star rating, I would. Mike Kirby, the owner/manager of this franchise office is completely incompetent when it comes to customer service. After more than 40 emails/phone calls following an incorrectly filed return which led to a letter to me from the IRS, he quit calling or emailing me back. I called Jackson Hewitt's home office three times and was promised call backs within specific timeframes and never received them. An IRS deadline to respond on this matter was nearly 3 months ago and my problem is still unresolved. I will never, ever go to a Jackson Hewitt office again. By the way, checking the local Better Business Bureau, I see that the grade that this office has is an "F."

The experience I had w/ Jackson Hewitt was wonderful!!! I received a return that more than half of what H&R Block calculated and the costumer service was great! I would refer them to anyone.

Avoid these folks if possible. I went to them for the first time after receiving a 30$ off coupon in a mass mailing. They charged me for services I declined and never credited my bill for the 30$ off coupon I brought in. When I brought this to their attention their response was along the lines of "prove it". Avoid them.
