Don't go unless it's just for the drinks. My margherita was excellent, the fish and chips, disgusting. I got the food to go and in hindsight should have checked it before I left. The fish and fries floated on a sheen of grease and smelled so strong of grease that my hair and car smelled like I'd just fried it up myself. The fish was soggy on top and the bottom was mushy from the grease. It's so bad I would feel guilty feeding it to the ravens let alone my dog. It was so bad I called the restaurant to let them know and they offered me a free meal on a return visit. I'll take a free drink but they need to get a real chef and cook staff if they want to stay in business. I've seen well decorated restaurants like the Aztec in Eagle River go under in a matter of months after spending big bucks on a cool decor.

OH MY GOSH YOU HAVE TO GO HERE!!! Seriously, EVERYTHING we had was the best we'd ever had. BEST CALAMARI **EVER**. Best mushroom swiss burger. Best flat iron steak. (even the sides were phenominally good) Tiramisu that melts in your mouth. Cant stop thinking about the calamari, though. The food was amazing. Just go and check it out for yourself. We will definitely be back! :)

Save youR money and your tummies.

Service was great. Absolutely! However the food was awful. We started by ordering water, cranberry juice and two midnight sun brewery browns. The water had 1/2 melted ice, as if it had been sitting out for a while. The cranberry juice was a cocktail type juice and tasted stale. The midnight sun brown tasted like the keg had been there a while and maybe not properly hooked up. It almost tasted flat, keep in mind I order this beer frequently. For our appetizer we ordered the calamari, since it was made with steaks we had high hopes. The breading was nice and even but the calamari was overcooked and extremely tough. The aioli sauce was very good and even had chunks of garlic in it. We also started with a cup of clam chowder that our waitress recommended over the only other soup they had. It came out at room temp, the clam was overpowered by "bacon" as far as the meat, which I didn't mind at all, the clam juice was apparent as far as the flavor but the texture of the chowder was spot on. For our entrées we ordered pork spare ribs, the nachos and their signature folly burger with fries. The spare ribs had a great seasoning. The barbecue flavor was great and even but it seemed to need a fresh brushing of BBQ before it came to us. It was almost as if it had been sitting in a tin pre barbecued and was warmed and thrown on a plate. The meat was lacking however the taste was by far the best of our meals. Onto the nachos, we had to send them back because they were cold which was concerning because they had some type of mystery meat on them, I was hoping wasn't pork but it didn't look like chicken at all. There was cheese sparingly melted on the house chips as well as cheese sauce doused all over. The Jalepeños were sliced, not diced, and hidden throughout seeds and all. I love the heat of Serrano peppers so it amazed me when my mouth was on fire and I could hardly taste the nachos after a few huge peppers. I would compliment the sour cream, it was thick, consistent and not runny. The salsa was watered down and not as chunky. When they sent the nachos back out to us it looked like a completly different salsa from the first one, and tasted more concentrated then the previously watered down one. Now for their signature folly burger. The burger seemed boiled in water, not fresh meat put on a grill. The patty was VERY thin and crumbled apart. It was that stale brown color and even though I ordered it medium there was no pink throughout. The bacon it came with was not crispy, I couldn't chew through it and had to eventually give up. The top bun was amazing but the bottom bun was so soggy it stayed on the plate when I lifted up the burger. We picked through the lettuce and tomatoes. The french fries were the best part of the meal. The burger didn't come out hot yet the fries were, which I appreciated. We heard the table behind us mention that the food expensive and poor quality but it wasn't the server's fault and they were tipping her 20% because this place would be shut down soon anyway. Sadly we had to agree. Then came to our bill. We paid $86 for our meals. It was a meal I would have paid $40 for and still left the restaurant unsatisfied. I wouldn't recommend Seward's Folly to anyone. Infact we told the people walking in to save their money and go to Longbranch down the street. There are a lot of kinks. The decor was nice but we were there to eat and drink and left very disappointed. If you go we recommend the french fries and barbecue sauce. The server was great and very attentive.
