The Fireplace and Gas Center was established in 1979 by Jim and Marty Gillespie. When they first opened, Marty worked in the store and Jim was a professional firefighter. He would work in the store and do installations on his days off from the fire station.Jim Gillespies firefighter photo.Together, they form a great team. Jim is all about efficiency and safety and Marty is about style and customer satisfaction. They bring years of experience and knowledge to the customer. They make sure that their installers and service people attend classes each year to keep up on new codes and products and to keep their certifications current.
