We had the unfortunate opportunity of needing to put down our beloved Boxer,Lucy a couple of months ago. We were devastated, entering your office - 2 grown people SOBBING. Our Lucy was a dear member of our family. At my request before bringing the dog from the car - I made sure ( I was CERTAIN she was done for) Everyone treated our situation with calm and dignity. ( The LAST thing I needed was someone telling my already inconsolable wife that we needed to run some tests ) The procedure was explained to us, and executed swiftly with a gentle hand. After, we received a nice card from everyone at Ham Lake Veterinary- showing us further that this is a Vet office that cares. We chose to have Lucy cremated, and to keep her ashes. We received her remains in a nice box- accompanied by an ink stamping of her paw print. We now have chosen to rescue a dog that our Son has named Steve. We know that Steve will get the care he needs at Ham Lake. Thank You.

we have been to several vets in the area but just recently went to Ham Lake Vet Hospital. Very pleasant experience. The front desk staff, vet tech/assistant, and vets impressed us so far. Very relaxed, good rapport with animals and explain everything very calmly. If the first times were typical, we will be changing to this vet for all of our pets.

My dog Beau and I love this place. You can tell the people here truly love their work and the animals. The staff is very knowledgeable, and answer 90% of my questions before I even see the Vet. The Vets- They know there stuff and seem to really care. As for cost- You can trust that you will only be charged for what is truly needed, and not have ancillary items added to run up a bill. All in all I trust them completely and you can't go wrong bringing your pet there.

I just received a personal sympathy card in the mail from the staff who all signed it and said very nice things about my dog Rambo, who recently had to be put down. The days up to the euthanasia were some of the hardest I've experienced in a long time, and something as small as the staff being very sympathetic and sending a card afterwards goes a long way in my book. I even called the day Rambo was to be put down to see if there was any possible way to get him in sooner because the pain of waiting out the day was just too hard, and they got me in earlier. I appreciate that you guys take the time, effort, and care in what you do - it truly shows. Ham Lake Veterinary Hospital is the place to go in my opinion, and I'll be spreading the word.

I love this place! The Vet is wonderful, the techs are really helpful and all are friendly and welcoming. When my Lucy got sick and died, they were so nice to me and my husband and that was a real necessity at that moment. My German Shepherd is a Diabetic and needs lots of medical treatment and care, and they have been there evertime I have needed them. Very knowledgable and caring!

We have been going to this clinic for quite awhile. The doctor there is wonderful and got our newly adopted St. Bernard through a terrible bout with heart worm. He takes loads of time to answer questions and truly loves the animals. The staff is always wonderful with our cats and dogs and their prices are excellent compared to other places. We are extremely happy with this clinic after trying out many others in the area over a period of a number of years.

We had a boxer Bailey, that had seizures and had started going to Ham Lake Vet after going to 2 other vets that were unable to prescribe her the correct medication to help stop her seizures. Not only was her medication cheaper at Ham Lake Vet, Dr, Gauer got her seizures under control with the correct medication. Our Bailey then got very sick, and Dr. Gauer did everything he could to help her out and also help keep every test (and everything) so much cheaper than it would have been anyplace else. I can't even explain how comforting and accomidating everyone at Ham Lake Vet was. Dr. Gauer did everything he could to help out Bailey. We recently got a new puppy and I will also be taking her there. It is about a 45 minute drive, but I will continue to make the drive. It is worth it for the services they provide.

My Shepard mix broke her leg chasing a Frisbee. It was such a bad break that I had to have her leg amputated. As heart breaking as that was, the crew at this clinic soothed my fears and made me know I did the right thing. They have been there for me every time I have needed them for a pet emergency. I am a vet tech and have worked with many, many vets in my career and have trusted Dr. Gauer with out reservation on all of my pets. I would and have recommended this clinic to everyone I know that asks my professional opinion. I think they are great!!

The Dr. is the worse. Not only does he have no personality he farts during exams. He will tell to be quite while his is writing. Never ask him too many questions or his head might explode. Also doesnt seem too comfident in his diagnosis. He likes to drag treatment out to get more money. The Dr. is even rude to his own staff. I have on many occasions heard him talk very rudely to others on the phone. He has no patiences nor personality. The only good people at Ham Lake Vet Hosp is the ladies.

We had taken our cat there to be 'put down' and cremated. They treated him and our family with respect and care. I woruld reccommend this facility to anyone for any service for they are fair priced and are caring people.
