I used to frequent US Nails when they first opened many, many years ago and I always thought their service was decent. Since I no longer sport acrylic nails (for a myriad of reasons), I stopped going as frequently and ended up trying other shops for the services I did still get (pedicures, waxing, manicures). In the past month, I decided to give US Nails a try again and was disappointed both times. The first time I got a lip and brow wax that wasn't quite satisfactory . Since waxing is always a luck of the draw (with me anyway), I decided to dismiss this and try again. The second visit was a DISASTER! First, while I understand that acrylic nails are nail shops' bread and butter, I really don't like to be dismissed because I don't get a $30 set of acrylics every week. If a shop doesn't want people getting simple manicures - take 'em off the service list! When I told the male technician I wanted a manicure, he looked disgusted and rolled his eyes. I should have left then and there but I decided to stay anyway. He did a very quick and bad job of shaping my nails, and ended up leaving me with two hangnails. He then proceeded to glop on the light colored OPI nail polish I picked out. When he messed up on my thumb nail, he didn't bother to take it off and try again - he globbed on more in what I assume was an attempt to fix his mistake. Needless to say the polish didn't dry thoroughly because it was applied so thick and so haphazardly. I ended up removing it because EVERY finger smudged by the time I got home. A total waste of $13. I have not and will not return to US Nails for any service again.
