CLOSED NOW - Opens at 10:00am

My husband and I usually go to Jimmy Johns or Subway, but we decided to try Blimpie's in Ankeny. When we arrived at about 1:00 p.m. we were the only customers, so we used the drive up. We sat for about a minute without anyone taking our order, so we started to think maybe they were closed. Finally, a voice asked for our order. We decided to get 2 of the chicken, bacon, ranch subs on wheat. This is supposed to be a "toasted" sandwich according to the sign. We ordered nothing else, no drinks, no chips, etc. The wait at the window was long for 2 sandwiches. When we got home and opened up our sandwiches we were really disappointed. They were cold, the bread was soggy, the cheese looked processed and wasn't melted, there was ZERO bacon on either sandwich and some crumbles of very dry chicken, lots of ranch and some anemic lettuce & pale tomato. My husband tried to eat his, but tossed it half way through. I tossed mine after trying one piece of the chicken. Won't be back.
