I've been getting my hair cut with Bob and Ron for about 15 years. Now everyone in my family but my daughter gets their hair cut at Dascola Barbers as well. Dascola specializes in men's and kid's cuts, but my wife is pretty happy with the work they do as well. She isn't fond of expensive, elaborate treatments.



Bob is a pillar of the community and one of the founding members of the "Think Local 1st" group of local businesses in Ann Arbor. Bob is an avid bicyclist and a top notch bow-hunter as well. I've learned quite a lot from him over the years. Bob and Ron are also veterans with amazing stories to tell. The great haircut is really just an excuse to catch up on local events and learn something new.



But the best thing about Dascola barbers is Bob's little red mustang kid's seat and the great way he has with young kids. I've seen dozens of kids come in crying and go away laughing after getting their haircut with Bob. Check out the pictures on their website - www.dascolabarbers.com.

Dascola barbers have been in business near campus in Ann Arbor since the 1930s. There are now two of them, and they have an old-time upstairs barber shop on State Street. Bob Dascola's dad started the business, and Bob keeps it going. I'm glad, because my hair needs a special touch so that it doesn't look weird, and Bob and Ron both do a great job on it. If you have hair and want it cared for and cut right, see these two master barbers. I've been getting my hair cut since college days in the early sixties, and still look forward to it. I live 40 miles away, so I take advantage of their appointment system, but they also take dropins. I've been recommending these guys for almost fifty years, and am still doing so.
