Founded in 1948, WUOM is a radio station of Michigan Radio that provides various related services. The radio station has broadcasting educational FM stations from Angel Hall. It provides music, news, discussion programs, lectures, dramas and documentaries on its channel. WUOM 91.7 is the newly-designated FM band which has receive license from The Federal Communications Commission. Michigan Radio is one of the largest and first public radio stations to obtain FM license in the United States. Michigan Radio has more than 400,000 listeners across southern Michigan.
