Incompetent and rude. Jim Thomas, CPA, is just looking to make a quick dollar and will blame you for any mistakes or tax issues he causes. His advice is costing my wife and I thousands of dollars, because he advised us without researching our issue. Specifically, we informed him that we are on a public service student loan forgiveness program, and rather than looking up what this means, he advised we file jointly. Surprise, by filing our taxes in this way, he increased our monthly payments by $1,700. When we approached him for a refund, he blamed us for not understanding taxes, apparently unaware that this is the EXACT reason we hired a professional. Go elsewhere for tax preparation. Don't make the same mistake we did by hiring the incompetent Jim Thomas, CPA.
