Howard Core & Co., Inc was founded by Howard and Myrna Core in New York in 1976. In late 1977 it was moved to Alabama. In 2001, Howard Core Company LLC was formed, with Alex Weidner and Howard Core as partners, which insured the future of the firm. We are a wholesale only company, dealing with over 1, 800 violin shops, music stores and luthiers, mainly in North America. We deal only with the violin family of stringed instruments, representing the finest makers and manufacturers worldwide. Our 300+ page color catalog features a most complete selection of instruments, bows, cases, strings, accessories, books, tools and supplies for luthiers. We also sell our complete selection of tools, tonewoods, books, finishing products, and bow parts direct to the public.
