First time here at this restaurant and it was not the best. The service was great but the food was awful! My mash potatoes came out cold and the cream corn tasted like it was mixed with milk to make it creamy. It tasted horrible! I exchanged the mash potatoes for the Au gratin potatoes and they were very hard! They were not cooked all the way through. The fact that you can't substitute the baked beans or coleslaw is a waste of food! Why pay for something I don't want to eat. I came to this location because all the other Great Americans had bad reviews but this one wasn't any better.

The steak and lobster are,awesome, but im giving three stars cause they stick it to you on gratuity and if you ask for a plate to share a meal you gotta pay $5 ,theyre very inconsiderate with seniors, they charged my grandparents for subsituting a,kids,drink for coffee,theres this lady named laura A something,ask for somebody else if you want prompt service,she is more concerned about the forced tip and mooching off your change,other people will show up after you and get served first,try cattlemanns instead,if youre gonna splurge.

I love steaks. I've eaten at all the Great American Land & Cattle Co's in El Paso. The two best, and you can tell a difference is the one on George Dieter Dr, & Vinton. Even the service is much better. I really like the atmosphere at the George Deiter location best of all. The steaks are soooooo good.
