15 exam rooms, 3+ labs, procedure room, triage room, and a number of offices. Our newest location, as of October 1, 2009, is the acquisition/merger of Dr. Nadir's previous practice. Located in Gilbert, this practice was formerly known as "Carewell Physicians", and was established in October of 2007. Vista Medical Group expects the addition of these two locations to be incredibly successful and a great benefit to our patients! Internal Medicine is a specialty dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of adults. This specialty was developed by Dr. William Osler in 1895, who was thought to have borrowed it from the Germans who began to use it in the 1880's. The term "internal medicine" comes from the German term "innere Medizin'. Over time, the practice of internal medicine became a large part of the nonoperative medicine for adults. An internist, not to be confused with an intern, goes through a minimum 4 years of pre-medical study, 4 years of medical school, and 3 years of residency. This training focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases in adults. An internal medicine specialist can not only be a primary care physician, but may choose from 13 areas of study. These areas of study require at least three years of additional training and are referred to as fellowships. As a primary care physician, an internal medicine specialist of continues patient care from adolescence to late adulthood. Vista Medical Group provides a wide range of services. These include, but are not limited to: Well Woman Exams, PAPs, Vaccines, DOT Physicals, Sports Physicals, Yearly Physicals, Disease Management, and Sick Visits. At this time, Vista Medical Group physicians only treat patients 14 years old and above. Starting in July of 2010, our Gilbert location started to actively service the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
