Provided by YP.comOur son has been seeing Lisa Smith, owner of The Aspen Center, since he was two years old. With her help he was diagnosed with Apraxia
and Sensory Processing Issues. When we first started his therapy she thought it would be beneficial to do in-home since that was where he was most comfortable. For a year she came to our house twice a week and worked with him. He fell in love with her very quickly, as did we. She is an amazing person that my son was very comfortable around and what parent doesn't want that-especially when their child is already having a hard time expressing themselves. After a year of drastic improvement in our sons speech (when we first started he spoke zero words, after a year he spoke fluently with only a few minor things still needing work) we both agreed that it was time to move him to the center-for socialization and extended therapy with multiple therapists. Everyone at the center was very welcoming. Our son immediately played with all of the children and whenever he felt uncomfortable he knew Lisa was there. He knew her and we knew her so we were very comfortable leaving him. It was great knowing that he was being taught basic preschool skills, being worked with for his speech, and also seeing an occupational therapist for his sensory
issues all in the same place! No traveling to and from multiple therapists. Every single person that we have met at The Aspen Center has been very professional, loving, and caring for not only our child but for each child. You can really tell that they love the kids. We highly recommend this center to anyone-not only if your child needs therapy but for any child. We love that our son is around all kinds of children. We think the diversity is great and will help him to grow to become an understanding person and friend. Our son is still currently enrolled here and will continue to attend until he goes to kindergarten next year. We will miss everyone at The Aspen Center but we will be happy sending our son to kindergarten knowing they have prepared him with all he'll need to be an amazing student.
