If I could give no stars I would. I agree with all of the other reviews. VERY sneaky business tactics. Rude and horrible customer service. They will claim you need all of these repairs but show no proof. They make no quick effort in making the repairs or putting the awning up either. I WILL NEVER EVER refer them to anyone. They are terrible.

I have had awnings for over 20 years with the original company, Awnings by Shuster, which Laurel Awning Company took over. This year I ordered new window awnings, and still had the measurments on paper from 10 years ago. When they put them up, they are all wrong. Not a straight sleeve, but a slant sleeve and shorter than the original one. I even gave them my old awnings so they can copy from them. Now I have to fight with them in order for them to remake the awnings I wanted. And what gets me is that they want the money up front, without even seeing the awnings, or they won't hang them. And when they come to test hang them, they never tell you, because if I was home when they test fitted them, I would have stopped everything because I would have seen that they didn't make the right awnings for my windows. And to top off everything else, when they did put up the awnings, something hit my window seal and dented big time. Now I got damage to my house and the wrong size awnings.

Charged my mother $dollars last year to replace the cheap rope in our drop awning. The rope is already frayed and broke. Charged another 100 to have it replaced today. Took him 5 minutes and assured my mother they would bring better rope. It's the same cheap rope as before and tge tech said whoever put the awning up didn't do it right. Had the prior awning for over 20 years without a hiccuP. Had to re rope this one 2 time in a year at a 100 dollars a pop. Never again

They will charge you for mystery repairs and cleaning w/o your approval or w/o any proof they are needed, then they will threaten to keep your awning if you don't pay then or have any dispute w/ them doing this stuff. Their electronic contact for put up/take down just automatically included this stuff and I have no recourse. I don't remember anything at all being wrong w/ my awning when they took it, and it wasn't even dirty, but I am forced to pay them $400 or they will keep it. Company is just very sneaky and their costumer service people are rude. I hope I am able to find another company to take over the service of my awning next year cause I don't want to pay such a sneaky company these overpriced fees any longer. Be aware that if you get the type of awning that this company sells, you are looking at about $700 a year just to deal w/ them taking it up and down and cleaning it/making unexplained or justified repairs. You are better off getting a permenant porch roof in the long run. If I had it to do over that is what I would do.
