I've recently used Gifford Fence Company to replace my backyard fence and side run-ins. Jeremy met me the same day and gave me a quote for the exact same style and quality as what the Big Box company offered, but around 30% less.



Jeremy worked with me to choose a starting date that was convenient for me. In fact his team was able to start even though I was not present at the house when they started. I did stop by to check on progress and was pleased at every step. The 3 gentlemen who worked on the project were all professional, courteous, and meticulous. The foreman explained things to me and I kept me abreast of when it would be finished. It was a 2 day project. Day 1 was takedown of the old fence and digging and setting the 4 x 4 posts with cement. Day 2 was placing the 2 x 4 support beams and nailing the pickets to them with nail shanks. Day 2 they also hauled away the old fence material.



Since the fence was custom built, as opposed to using prefabricated fence units, they were able to tailor the fence to the exact length and slope of the land. I was really impressed with their ability to get the fence completely straight and vertical at the top, while leaving no gaps at ground level. The neighbors on the other side have a small dog that is no longer able to squeeze under the fence. I chose a shadow box style fence, which you can see in my uploaded pictures. The wood is pressure treated and feels real sturdy.

The person who came out to do the estimate is very nice.

But he never comes back to do the project after I told him that I am agree on the price that he quote me.

It is very sucks.
