We have been taking our Golden here since he was 6 months old. He is now 2.5 years old. He just loves the pool at the center. The center is very nice. I also use the vet at this location very nice and informative.
The only thing I don’t like is my Golden did get ring worm in his ears from a week long boarding. It cleared up after a week of treatment twice a day.
But other than that they seem like a great place for your pet when your pet can’t be at home.

Dr. Beckhardt is such a loving lady who made sure we were contacted with updates throughout the day. The vet techs along with their front staff provided great customer service. I can't speak enough about Nicole, the customer service rep. She will go above and beyond in order to help you. My dog has been sick since Sunday and once Nicole saw she needed advanced care a few days later, she drove her herself to the other practice where Dr. Greer is. She provided her help before and after hours. Overall, great staff and great love for your pets.

I don't have experience with their vet services but my dogs LOVE the Pet Resort. I decided to try it out after one of my dogs was mistreated at another boarding facility. Every time I pick my dogs up from the resort, they are happy and seem to have been well-cared for. My dogs are high energy and require a lot of exercise so the pool and large running areas are fantastic. I do wish they had Sunday pick up service as with my travel schedule it would be most convenient. But as long as my dogs are well cared for, I can't live with this minor issue. Overall I am extremely happy with the pet resort.

I recently adopted a dachshund puppy and to be honest, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, as I've never even owned a pet before. I contacted The Pet Care Center of Apopka, and they were able to break everything down for me in a way I could understand. The offered me something called a "puppy package." This package included all of Buffy's boosters, deworming, my first bag of food, my first flea and heartworm tablet, and education material (which I certainly needed!) So far my dog has seen Dr. Beltran and Dr. Andrews, who are both excellent! The doctor himself always calls me a few days after each appointment to make sure Buffy is continuing to do well. I truly feel like Buffy and I are apart of The Pet Care family. They greet me by name and Buffy's always excited to see them (even when it's time for Belen to give her a bath and trim her toenails.) I feel very lucky to have found a vet that was able to educate me and take care of all of Buffy's needs. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for extraordinary veterinary care.

Several months back, I called first thing in the morning to the receptionist to ask, that if I had my cat put to sleep, would the vet allow me to be present with her? It was a simple request. She was 17 years old, hyperthyroid and treatment was no longer working. My kitty was in heart failure and we felt the best thing was to allow her a peaceful end. Her heart was pounding out of her chest and she was clearly ready to go. They could not even give me the courtesy of a return phone call for a dying animal to help her along. After a couple of hours of them not responding, I took her to another vet I know across town, which was additional stress for her at a very difficult time WHEN SHE WAS DYING. Truthfully, these people need to be reported to the Veterinary Board, from what I read here and hear about them. They have no care nor concern for animal or human feelings. Please take your pet elsewhere if you care about them at all.

I had to find somewhere to board my dog for four, yes four months while our house was rebuilt following water damage. This place had huge exercise areas and a pool. Couldn't be happier and I get lots of photos to help me stay in touch when I can't visit. Definitely recommend. There isn't another facility like this. Good bang for your buck plus there a veterinarian on site

I had been going to this vet w...

I had been going to this vet with my Chihauhua Margarita since 2006. I took her in this past Friday, 02/17/2012, because of an emergency. She was breathing heavy and rapidly. I took her there at 7 a.m. when they opened and the receptionist sent me away until 9 a.m. when a vet comes in. Instead of calling a vet in for the emergency, after all the money I have spent there over the years. Needless to say I took her back up there at 9 a.m. and they were so worried about the payment for the services they were going to perform rather then stablizing her. Her gums were blue and she ultimately died on 02/17/2012 at 10:30 a.m. IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET FIND ANOTHER VET!!!! I am looking into filing a complaint and a possible lawsuit for their negligence and malpractice.

This was one of the worst cust...

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had! They gave me a quote of $22 and then when the appointment was complete they charged me $195 for a simple travel letter for my pet. When I originally received the quote, I stated that I would need a travel letter for El Salvador. The clerk at the counter told me it would be $22 so I scheduled the appointment. 3 weeks later when I showed up for the appointment and got ready to leave, I was told it was $195. I spoke to the customer service manager and she said sorry, but there was nothing she could do and admitted that there was a communication error and her clerk made a mistake. Regardless of the fact it was their error, that is what I owe and they will not honor the original quote. She stated that San Salvador, El Salvador sounds like a city in the US,( you know like San Francisco), and her clerk must have been confused and thought it was in the US, and gave me a domestic quote. Believe it or not she actually said that!!!

So for all you loyal Americans, El Salvador is now the 51st State in the USA! God Bless America and the high school that graduated the clerk that works the desk at the Pet Care Center of Apopka! Hopefully Pet Care Center of Apopka will use my money to buy a map of the world for their office!

My husband is a Veteran and a US Government Contractor, I am a Federal Employee on assignment abroad. Please do not use this business! I am proud to serve and protect the US. This business does not support those that serve and protect our great nation!

Do NOT board your dog here!

My dog was in their boarding facility for 6 days. When I picked him up he was breathing heavy and fast. When I got him home he continued to have gurgly rapid breathing. I took him to my vet who said he had fluid build up around his heart and lungs. My vet said the kennel staff should have noticed his abnormal breathing so he could have been treated sooner. This is a life threatening condition. He has never had any heart issues or symptoms before. Of course the Pet Resort of Apopka is not to blame for his heart issue, but I do blame them for not noticing his breathing problem. When I called they said his breathing was the same as when I brought him in 6 days earlier. No compassion, no apologies, nothing but excuses. BEWARE, if you love your dog, do NOT board them here.

wondering

my son's dog was taken to this clinic for a rabies booster and a nail trim. a staff member said that they would bathe her for free. when my daughter in law returned, the dog was limping badly. no one acknowledged responsibility for what happened and claimed that nobody knew what was wrong. Vet examined her and said he couldn't find anything wrong but also refused to do an xray. dog has been seen and treated by another vet. her treatment has been limited due to the fact that no one will admit how she was injured. My pets will never be taken to this place. You decide for yourself.

Excellent!!

Pet Care Center of Apopka is a very nice veterinary hospital. My two dogs loved their visit and I was very pleased with the staff. I was greeted the moment I walked in the door and the staff took excellent care of my dogs. The doctors are very nice as well. They have a boarding facility with a pool for the dogs to swim in. I plan on making future reservations for them to stay.
