Cat and dog owners take note: If you genuinely care about your pets, The Brownsberger Vet Clinic is the ONLY place to go, if you live within 60 miles of Appleton City Missouri. My 5 cats have enjoyed excellent,reasonably-priced, caring knowledgeable advice and treatment from Dr.Larry, Dr.Bill (Brownsberger) and Dr.Dave (with whom I have enjoyed the most interaction...hence this review). Of course, this is rural, cattle and horse country, and I'm a transplant from So.Calif, where pets are family members, but my Vet experiences in Osceola and Clinton and El Dorado, were so appalling in their seeming lack of concern or knowledge, I sought local consensus and frequently got the Appleton reccommendation...while hearing unacceptable things about other Vets in this 5 county area. Dr.Dave actually listens,

and spends as much time as necessary to arrive at a considered diagnosis, (as have Bill and Larry) and even offers less expensive alternative treatments (when possible) to address the issue; There's a serious effort to stay well-informed about recent maladies/treatments and a home phone/willingness to respond if there's a midnight crisis. I don't like the 30 min. drive, but I'd go an hour for this level of concern and professionalism. (Should mention, I spent countless volunteer hrs. working with over 25 Veterinarians in Calif.,so my sincere approval comes with a background)
